“Bohdan Khmelnytsky Order”

It was established by the Decree of the President of Ukraine № 344/95 Dated May 3, 1995 to award citizens for special deeds in protecting the state sovereignty, territorial integrity, reinforcing the defense capability and security of Ukraine.

1. The Bohdan Khmelnytsky Order has 3 grades. The highest is the first grade. 
2. The first grade order is awarded to servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ministry of Internal Affairs, National Guard, Security Service of Ukraine for significant deeds in protection of Ukraine and its people. 
3. The second grade order is awarded to servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ministry of Internal Affairs, National Guard, Security Service of Ukraine for significant courage and devotedness at protection of state interests of Ukraine; participants of combat actions during the Great Patriotic war 1941-45 on the occasion of the 60-th Anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic war.
