temporary provision about the order of its convocation were
adopted according to the decree of Verkhovna Rada.

and the first person, who swore allegiance, was Minister of

President of Ukraine L. Kravchuk said that all military units,

forces, two armored armies, one army corps, four Air Force armies,
separate Air Defense army, the Black See Fleet. The concentration
of forces numbered about 780000 personnel, 6500 tanks, about 7000
combat armored vehicles, 1500 combat aircrafts, more than 350
ships, 1272 strategic nuclear warheads of intercontinental
ballistic missiles and about 2500 nuclear weapon. But in any case,
Ukraine had only some parts from military structure of the Soviet

The text of military allegiance and
temporary provision about the order of its convocation were
adopted according to the decree of Verkhovna Rada.

laws: “On Defense of Ukraine”, "On the Armed Forces of
Ukraine". By that day, the text of military oath was adopted
and the first person, who swore allegiance, was Minister of
Defense K. Morozov.

President of Ukraine L. Kravchuk said that all military units,
deployed on the territory of Ukraine, sworn allegiance voluntarily

The following armies were deployed in
Ukraine at the end of the year: rocket army, three combined arms
forces, two armored armies, one army corps, four Air Force armies,
separate Air Defense army, the Black See Fleet. The concentration
of forces numbered about 780000 personnel, 6500 tanks, about 7000
combat armored vehicles, 1500 combat aircrafts, more than 350
ships, 1272 strategic nuclear warheads of intercontinental
ballistic missiles and about 2500 nuclear weapon. But in any case,
Ukraine had only some parts from military structure of the Soviet
Unit. |
